The Check Up procedure
The procedure starts with an internist examination consisting of a careful collection of personal and medical history, a medical examination and a complete hematochemical test, including the evaluation of lipid, hepatic and renal profiles, complete blood count (martial balance) and hepatitis markers, in order to trace a clear clinical record.
From this moment on a completely customized program is drawn by selecting the required specialized examinations (i.e. cardiologic, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, gynecologist, urologic, dermatologic…), instrumental exams (such as abdominal, thyroid, cardiac utrasonography, eco color Doppler of the carotid tree and any additional laboratory tests based on individual requirements.

All of this under the guidance of the internist-tutor who coordinates the various specialists and supervises performed tests.
The result is a final report which, based on the outcome, may lead to different operative implications with additional levels of intervention.
From a condition of normality, which we all hope for, the following might be taken into account:

• a simple risk factor control program (cigarette smoke, high cholesterol levels, overweight, lack of exercise)
• or the definition of specific treatment programs for single, specific issues
• up to the need to perform additional and more extensive instrumental controls necessary for a complete diagnosis (CT, MRI, scintigraphy, surgery…)
