Admission
The MultiMedica Group’s hospital facilities are accessible to all patients based on available beds.
Hospital admission can be requested by:
- Family physician
- Local medical aid station
- Specialized physician
As a general rule admission is preceded by a specialized examination at the hospital facility: admission, in fact, is always a decision of the specialized doctor who prescribes it, when necessary, following initial verifications.
Admission is then setup internally by the Hospitalization Admission Office (together with the various dept. admin offices) which, based on the doctor’s indications, places the patient in the waiting lists and contacts them when appropriate for the pre-admission test session and to communicate the date of admission.
MultiMedica Group Hospital Structures are accredited by the Lombardy Region, therefore patients have the option of choosing if they intend to be admitted under SSN coverage or on a solvency basis; admissions through the SSN are fully covered by the National Healthcare System.
Patients who prefer not to go through the SSN can request to be admitted at their own expense or through the many agreements with Insurances and Institutes.
