Through this sophisticated system, a real-time connection is established between the operating theatre and MultiLab to face emergencies/urgencies on intra-operation diagnostics. Remote diagnosis enables direct delivery to the operating room of cytological and/or histological diagnosis at which several specialists have participated through remote consultations between colleagues and experts, removing barriers such as distances, time zones or any other time-place related issues. This enables patients to receive highly qualified and complete care, greatly limiting the possibilities of errors and/or inaccuracies in defining complex injuries. In addition, it is possible to create an image database and to document treatment decisions. However, remote diagnosis is not limited to intra-operation consulting: the medical history built from data collected on the most complex cases can be shared and discussed with other world-renown experts for further and subsequent evaluation.
