Emergency Room priority codes:Triage
Upon arrival at the Emergency Room a nurse will collect the most relevant information regarding your request for help: Vital functions will be evaluated in order to assign a priority emergency room entry code:
| Red Code |
Emergency situation, the patient is in life-threatening conditions: highest urgency level.
|
| Yellow Code |
Urgent situation, the patient is seriously injured, if condition worsens could be life threatening.
|
| Green Code |
Situation not urgent over time: not life-threatening, but the clinical characteristics call for a rapid response.
|
| White Code |
Situation is not urgent. The case is less serious and does not present evolution risk factors. Will be examined AFTER all the above codes, according to the order of arrival.
