Located in the centre of Milan, the San Giuseppe Hospital was founded by the Lombardo Veneta Province of the Hospitaller Order of San Giovanni di Dio – Fatebenefratelli in 1874. In October 2009, the MultiMedica Group acquired its management and took over management and coordination. The San Giuseppe Hospital, a university centre of the University of Milan, is organized into three departments: medical, surgical and maternal and infant, in order to guarantee greater flexibility in responding to requests for local health and efficiency in the reception and care processes.
This latter area, thanks to the relaunch project launched by the MultiMedica Group, has become a point of reference for the city of Milan (restructuring of the entire childbirth block recently with the creation, among other things, of a room dedicated to childbirth in the water). Not only that, the San Giuseppe Hospital is also distinguished by its vocation for emergency medicine: it is also a centre of excellence and a reference point of urgency for hand surgery in the Lombardy Region and is equipped with a Stroke Unit for the timely treatment of Ictus.

Your time is important to us. For this reason, with Tempo Zero, we have reset waiting times for X-ray, TAC and ECG. There is no need to book: you just need to show up at the check-in counter with the request of a specialist doctor and, in real time, the required examinations will be carried out. The cost? Little more than the ticket foreseen by the National Healthcare System.

It is the first point of contact between the hospital and future parents.
Located at the entrance, in Via San Vittore 12, it is open from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm.
It is the office dedicated exclusively to the obstetric-neonatology area. Here, specialised staff will help you to define the most suitable birth path for your needs, dealing with the relevant administrative formalities and answering all your questions.
Its main function is that of corner booking and acceptance, with the advantage of being able to plan at once all the visits, examinations and checks scheduled during the 9 months of pregnancy.
At the Birth Desk you can also find information about courses and initiatives organized ad hoc for new parents, before and after childbirth.
