MultiMedica for Companies

Occupational Medicine

For over 15 years MultiMedica Spa has been operating in the field of Occupational Medicine and in an increasingly complex regulatory context that involves in transversal responsibilities the Company, the Competent Doctor, the Employers, the Service of Prevention and Protection. The need to rely on structures capable of managing the needs and tasks both from an organizational and operational point of view becomes fundamental for the company organization.

The Occupational Health Service of the MultiMedica Group aims to respond to this request through a working group that can count on teams of dedicated interlocutors: the commercial official, the staff of the secretariat of occupational medicine and the competent doctor. They are able to comply with all the regulations issued by the new Consolidated Law – Legislative Decree no. 81 of 9 April 2008.

From the preparation of health protocols, to the drawing up of the risk assessment document, to medical visits, the Occupational Medicine Service constantly updates companies with regard to legislative norms, proposing, among other things, reflections on the best way to deal with new issues such as, for example, those relating to “correlated stress”, assisting them in the constant assessment of work risks, making use of technical consultants in the field of occupational safety.

Verification of Risk Assessment Document
The MultiMedical Group’s Occupational Medicine Service provides the assistance necessary for the realization of this fundamental document through qualified personnel.

Conferral of the assignment to the Competent Doctor
The Secretariat of the Occupational Medicine Service of the MultiMedical Group provides the assistance necessary to formal fulfilments for the conferral of the assignment of a Competent Doctor chosen from among the various Doctors who collaborate with the Service and who possess the necessary qualifications and/or requirements.

Inspection in company
After the appointment, the Competent Doctor carries out the on-site inspection in the company, at least once a year. The on-site visit allows the collection of information regarding the risk factors present in relation to all company tasks and the determination of a specific medical protocol (Health Plan).

Strength of Health Plan
On the basis of the specific medical protocol, a work plan is drawn up concerning the conduct of health checks on employees according to their duties. The Secretariat of the Occupational Medicine Service, therefore, organizes appointments according to modalities and calendar agreed with the Company on the basis of its specific needs. In addition, the periodic deadlines of the examinations required by the health protocol are also managed.

Execution of medical services – Suitability judgements
On the basis of the Health Plan, the planned medical examinations are carried out and the services can be provided at the various locations of the Occupational Medicine Service or at the Client’s Company through the presence of our medical staff. The Occupational Medicine Service also provides assistance in complying with the medical-legal procedures to be complied with in the event of complaints of occupational diseases.

Periodic Programming
Reminders and subsequent on-site inspections are scheduled to ensure proper assistance on each fulfillment.

Regional visuals
They are executed at varying intervals depending on the risk and in any case dictated by specific laws in force (Legislative Decree 81/08)

In addition:

  • Specialist medical advice
  • Activities and tasks of the Competent Doctor
  • Safety Theme Fomation and Prevention Courses
  • Environmental investigations

Preventive visuals in pre-assembling phase
Useful for the Company, which can ascertain the existence of any limitations to expose the worker to environments where there are certain risks, and for the worker, who must not see his health worsen. The preliminary examination is carried out by Doctors Specialists in Occupational Medicine (responsible doctor as per Legislative Decree 81/08).

Pre-expatriation services
Entrusting an employee with work assignments abroad involves the need for preventive checks on his or her health: these will be aimed at the type of activity that the worker must carry out, as well as at the environmental conditions in which the employee will operate.

Mobile units throughout the national territory
